Just letting you know that our gorgeous son Tully Jarvis arrived Monday 26th November at 8.40am. 3.5 kg 56 cm, calm, happy and healthy. After 3 weeks of prelabour, a 23 hour labour and 12 days overdue (not induced), we finally had the calm, drug free birth we wanted. I managed to stay at home until i hit transition and 9 cm dilated! Just a few little issues led to a 2.5 hour active phase. He was wrapped three times in the cord (such a wriggly boy in utero) and wasn’t even engaged when I arrived at hospital. His head was tilted and wouldn’t descend. They used ventouse to reposition his head (which i did with no epidural) and he was born only two surges later. He was just way too cosy in there
